AI automation agency
An AI automation agency built for small businesses.
Most small businesses do not need a research lab. They need the repetitive work (answering the same questions, chasing leads, re-typing documents) to stop eating the day. We design, build and run that automation with you.
What an AI automation agency actually does
An AI automation agency takes a task your team does by hand every week and turns it into a system that does most of it for you, with a person approving the parts that matter. That might be an AI agent that answers customer questions on your website, a workflow that turns an inbound email into a CRM record and a drafted reply, or a voice agent that picks up the phone when nobody can.
The word agency matters. You are not buying a tool and being left to configure it. You are hiring a team that scopes the problem, builds the pieces, connects them to the software you already use, and stays responsible for them after launch. NOVAM has done this since 2019 from New York, and we run our own AI products in production, so we know where these systems break and what monitoring they need.
Where small businesses get the fastest return
We start with the work that is frequent, rule-shaped and annoying. Those are the tasks where automation pays back quickly and where mistakes are cheap to catch. Common starting points:
Customer questions
A chat or FAQ agent trained on your own policies, hours and product information, with an escalation path to a person when it is unsure.
Phones
An AI receptionist that answers, takes messages, books appointments and transfers a live call to your team when a caller needs a human. See our AI receptionist page.
Lead follow-up
Inbound enquiries get an immediate, relevant reply, are logged in your CRM, and reach a salesperson with the context already collected.
Documents and data entry
Forms, invoices and intake packets are read, checked against rules and entered into your systems, with exceptions routed to a person.
Scheduling and reminders
Booking, rescheduling and no-show reminders handled automatically across email, text and phone.
Content and social
Captions, images and publishing across channels from one dashboard, with an approval step before anything goes live.
How an engagement works
- Scope: a short conversation, or the intake form on our start page, to identify the one or two workflows worth automating first. We tell you plainly if something is not worth automating.
- Design: we map the current process, decide where AI helps and where plain rules are better, and define where a person approves or overrides.
- Build: we implement the agent or workflow, connect it to your tools and test it on your real examples before it talks to a customer.
- Launch and run: we deploy, monitor and adjust. Conversations and actions are logged so you can see what the system did and why.
- Expand: once the first workflow is stable, we apply the same pattern to the next one.
Human review is part of the design
Automation handles the volume; people handle the judgment calls. Our systems are built with approval gates, escalation to a person and audit trails, because a small business cannot afford an AI that confidently says the wrong thing to a customer. If the agent is not sure, it hands off with the full conversation attached. If a task touches money, legal commitments or health information, a person signs off.
We also tell you what we will not promise. AI can draft, classify, summarize and answer from your documents very well. It does not replace your expertise, and we will not claim a specific savings number before we have seen your workflow.
Build it yourself or hire us
If your need is a straightforward chatbot or FAQ agent, you can configure one yourself with Novam Agents, our no-code builder, and be live the same day. If you need something wired into your own systems, or a custom workflow across several tools, that is where an engagement with our team makes sense. Either way you can start with the same conversation.
Frequently asked questions
How much does AI automation cost for a small business?
It depends on scope: how many workflows, which systems they connect to and how much ongoing monitoring they need. We scope before we quote, and we would rather start with one well-defined workflow than a large project. Use the start page or contact us for a scoped estimate.
Do I need to change the software I already use?
Usually not. We connect to the tools you already have (email, calendars, CRMs, spreadsheets, phone systems) wherever they offer an integration or API.
Will the AI say something wrong to my customers?
Any AI system can make mistakes, which is why we ground agents in your own documents, set clear limits on what they may answer, and escalate to a person when unsure. We test on your real examples before launch and keep conversation logs so problems are visible.
Can you work with a business outside New York?
Yes. We are based in New York and work with clients remotely across the United States.
Who will I be working with?
NOVAM was founded by George Edos in 2019. You work with the team that builds and operates the system, not a sales layer.
